The Rainbow Bridge
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the rainbow bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the rainbow bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. They frolic and romp all day with one another.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing. They each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They run and play together until the day comes when one of them suddenly stops playing and looks off into the distance. The nose twitches. The ears are up. The bright eyes are intent. The eager body quivers. Suddenly this one runs from the group, faster and faster, leaping and flying over the tall green grass.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace, clinging together in joyous reunion. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your cherished pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
And with your pet beside you once again, you cross the rainbow bridge together.
In Memory of our beloved Pets

Shareeb I Wish
Rest in Peace and green pastures over the rainbow bridge dear Shareeb. On Monday, January 27, we lost "Shareeb I Wish", she would have been 28 in March.
I had Shareeb her entire life and as I had her dam (Pineledge Shariah) and sire (Ibn Risaan), both gone now. She was born during a snowstorm and had one of those personalities you had to love and respect. She always left you know how she felt and was great with kids. Although retired now, she spent much of her adult life giving lessons and there was a joke in the barn that she counted how many times she went around the ring. Canter 3 times around and it was time to walk or trot.I miss hearing your greeting when I walk in the barn in the morning. I miss your head bumps and the toss of your bucket if you did not get your apple fast enough. I miss seeing you in the field with the other mares and watching you reach through the fence for the grass on the outside, as we all know it is always greener on the other side of the fence.
Simon
"Simon" was a miniture horse who was rescued by "Wishful Acres" in 2018. Although his life was cut short due to an accident, he will always be remembered for his quirky personality thinking he was a full size horse.
Winchester
"Winchester" was a joy for his humans, and a challenge for the horses as he performed his natural ability of herding the horses at their heels. He will alway be remembered for his boundless energy and focus on his toys when it was playtime.
Shiloh
"Shiloh" was taken in by "Wishful Acres", when one day she was trotting down the middle of the road as if she owned the road. Little did Shiloh know that day many years ago, would forever change her life. She had to be guarded closely by her humans, for her nose took her to unexpected places. She will always be remembered for her sassy but yet loving personality, and being the queen of the household.
